Capitol View Arts Gallery

February - March 2024

Artists Arielle Austin and Kel Brown shine a light on the push and pull, joy, and affliction of creating within the world of Abstraction. Touching on the question, "Is Abstraction for us, too? "And why is it necessary for us?" both artists bring their perspectives to what it means to be a Black artist creating in the non-representational realm.

Join us at the Capitol View Arts Gallery on Saturday, February 10th, from 5 - 8 p.m. for the opening reception to learn more about the Black experience and to celebrate Black History Month.

Presented by Capitol View Arts. Funded by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division & Austin Black Fund
